About Us:
Breezy Wheels Founder Kris Nicol has spent more than three decades summering at the Iowa Great Lakes. Her father – originally from Milford – purchased a lake home on West Lake in 1995 and Kris and her family soon followed and have called Okoboji their official summer home since 2010.
While Kris and her family love the lakes area, she has found it challenging to share the beautiful lakes area bike trails with her guests, spending more time coordinating, picking up, and dropping off bikes than watching the warm Iowa wind wrap a smile across her friends faces.
Breezy Wheels – Okobjoi’s only dedicated pickup/drop off E-bike rental service – is Kris and her family’s solution to that problem. They are starting with a small rental fleet of brand new Velotric Discover 1 bikes and Sena R2 helmets with inter-com capabilities. Customers will wake up with e-bikes delivered to their door, have a Sena-helmet-enabled shared riding experience for up to 65 miles per day, and then just park the bikes at ‘home’ and let the Breezy Wheels team – Kris and her family – take it from there!
